This catalog recreates the cruise that took 180 students and teachers around ports of the Mediterranean in 1933. This unique traveling, educational and cultural experience was organized by Professor Manuel García Morente.

Some of the young travelers, such as Gregorio Marañón, Guillermo Díaz Plaja, Julián Marías and Arturo Ruiz Castillo, would become leading figures of Spanish culture. Their memories about the trip are reproduced in this catalog, along with Enrique Lafuente Ferrari’s unpublished travel notes, and a “logbook” compiled from texts, published at the time, by Manuel García Morente, Carlos A. Real, Julián Marías, and Manuel Granell. Photographs taken during the trip illustrated this volume.
