Francisco Brines (Oliva, Valencia, 1932)
“Poetry, for the person writing or receiving it, is primarily an act of intensity; it fulfills, thus the function of exalting life,” wrote Francisco Brines, who in one of the readings incorporated in this audiobook, held at the Residencia de Estudiantes on April 11, 2012, he selects poems from all his works, from Las brasas (1960) to his unpublished new volume, -which, as he revealed, will be entitled Donde muere la muerte– that contains considerable comments about the context in which they were written and reflections aloud on the meaning that poetry has for him.
