This volume collects the essays submitted to the symposium on Valente, held at the Residencia in 1992.Jacques Ancet, Rosa Rossi, Andrés Sánchez Robayna, Américo Ferrari, Emilio Lledó, Giorgio Agamben and José Jiménez contributed. The poet himself gave a lecture, and Claudio Rodríguez Fer, wrote about Valente’s life and biography. The essays followed the poet’s evolution and his significance in contemporary Spanish poetry.
