César Antonio Molina wrote the foreword of this anthology of the poems written in Castilian by Rafael Santos Torroella (Port-Bou, 1914 - Barcelona, 2002), a writer better known as translator, essayist and art critic. Santos Torroella published Sombra infiel in 1952 and won the Ciudad de Barcelona (1956) and Boscán(1959) prizes for Hombre antiguo and Cerrada noche, respectively.
