The Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno and the Residencia de Estudiantes published this “catálogo razonado,” a tribute to Dali’s first years as a painter and to Rafael Santos Torroella, the most prestigious expert on the artist.

Prof. Torroella conducts a thorough analysis of one hundred and fifty works painted by Dalí between 1918 and 1929. The author displays his profound knowledge about the painter, with unpublished comments, iconographic identification, bibliography and historical data, a breakthrough study of the Catalan master.

This publication had the invaluable cooperation of Maite Bermejo, Torroella’s wife, and Ricard Más Peinado, his long-time assistant and author of the chronology.
